Apologies

....so, I'm on ICU. For a month. A WHOLE month.

ICU is...well, to choose one word: painful.

The patients are super sick, the attendings are hard-core, and the hours are torture. It's 5am to 5pm ....with 4 days off all month.

It's Day Three. My back aches. My shoulders are sore. My eyes burn at the end of the day. I go to bed at 8:30pm. My dinner has consisted of fruity pebbles for the last three nights. Pathetic, I know!

So, for all these reasons, I apologize for my blogging absenteeism.

Only 27 more days to go!!!!

But, who's counting?

  1. Good luck! Oh and fruity pebbles are not always bad for dinner...I always eat cereal when my hubby is out of town!

  3. ICU would be intense. I sometimes consider applying to work there, but then I snap out of it.

Those are crazy hours. It's okay to have cereal for supper sometimes. Especially when you work crazy hours. The last thing you want to do when you come home is cook. I can relate.

  4. Hey Christina,

Thanks for the comment about Dancing with Stars! I actually know what you mean about Melissa being annoying! She really annoyed me on the Bachelor!

Anyways, I am so impressed you a doctor! Honestly I have so much respect for you! I wish you the best of luck as you continue to work in ICU. I bet it's not an easy job but we need good Physician in ICU so I know your patients are lucky this is your month!

    Get some rest!

  5. You need to get to the grocery store and pick up some better cereal! Imagine the weight loss (and regularity) if you only ate Fiber One for dinner. :)

  6. I can't tell if you're happy about this ICU thing or not.

But please go and eat some real food!

  7. Hang in there, you can do it. Take some eye drops for that down time that never comes around but it might help get you to the end of your day. Stick some healthy snacks in your bag and munch when you can.
Good luck, make the best of it!

So I have to apologize too. Today when I was commenting back to my bloggy friends, I said I thought you were a nurse! I can't believe I said that! I totally knew you were a doc! I'm saw-ry. (I have a lisp)
